Professional History

I started my earliest career history with physical art, introduced to jewelry, clay, and florist by my grandmother. My first job, however, was as an audio technician and broadcaster for my local AM radio station. I initially got the job for my existing work on audio technology and robotics when I was a sophomore in high school, and I worked there for a total of six and a half years, where I became the Production Manager, and proceeded to teach all of my successors in both audio technology and broadcast news presentation.

Following my acceptance to my university, I took on several forms of work within my degree, journalism, then professional and technical writing. Of note, I worked for the university’s paper as a reporter, copy editor, then Assistant Copy Chief. In addition, I served as a writer, designer, podcast producer and educator for the Al Jisr podcast, under the department’s global journalism program where I worked with Yemenis journalists on writing and making podcasts. In the university system, I have served in several secretarial roles, with newsletter and event organization being a key feature of my roles.
